Handgun Training that may save your life!

The Handgun Two course at Cross Valley Training takes the fundamentals of marksmanship to a new level. This training will take you from a handgun user to a handgun operator. Join us to learn the difference. 

In your day of instruction with Cross Valley Training, you’ll learn the following techniques and skills:

  • Utilization of Cover
  • Movement
  • Single-handed operation, reloads, and manipulations.
  • Multiple-target engagement
  • Building on the skills you learned in Handgun One

Building Confidence With Your Handgun

Handgun Two takes the basic fundamentals from Handgun One and adds complexity to ensure real-life applicability. This one-day course will teach you foundational skills that can be built upon individually at the range or in future training. Learn the information you need to know to build confidence in handling your firearm in an exciting, safe, FREEDOM-loving environment. Be prepared to have fun!

Logistical Information

Handgun TWO is conducted on an outdoor primitive range. You must check the weather before arrival and dress appropriately. Bathrooms are currently porta potties. Be prepared, check the weather before arrival, and dress appropriately.

This range is a cold range. No loaded firearms are allowed except while on the firing line. Your instructor will let you know when to load your handgun.

Bring lunch with you. There will be a break time for lunch. We are approximately 15 minutes from the nearest restaurant, and there is no food or water on site YET.

Required Equipment (bring these things with you)

  • Semi-automatic Handgun: Your handgun must be unloaded at all times unless instructed otherwise.
  • Magazines – bring a minimum of 2 magazines (Unloaded magazines unless instructed otherwise).
  • Ammunition – You will need approximately 400 rounds of store-bought ammunition for your handgun. Hand-loaded ammunition is prohibited.
  • PPE HEARING and EYE protection are required.
  • HOLSTER (OWB)– A hard-sided or rigid holster such as a Leather, Kydex, or Hybrid holster is required. You will also need a sturdy belt or method to secure your holster to your person. NOT a concealed carry class.
  • Additional gearThough not required, you should bring the following: magazine pouches, cleaning gear, magazine loaders, and any tools needed.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Check-in starts about 30 Min before your start time.
  • We train in any weather; check the WEATHER before you head out and pack accordingly.
  • We will be on the ground – in the Snow, Mud, Rain and Dust
  • We will be moving a lot
  • Bring at least one empty magazine for drills

COMFORT ITEMS

  • Sunscreen
  • Magazine pouches – may be required/helpful for some course
  • Cleaning gear
  • Magazine loaders
  • Water – There is limited water available on-site
  • Chair
  • Hat
  • Weather appropriate clothing
  • Closed-toed boots or shoes

PRICE INCREASE APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS PRIOR

 

Cancellations / No show – If, for any reason, you are unable to attend a class, you will need to CONTACT US before the class to either reschedule or request a full refund prior to 14 days. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the class starts can be rescheduled and/or will only receive a 50% refund. Students who register for a class and then fail to attend without prior contact will forfeit any rights to a reschedule or refund.
