LPVO Rifle Training
Master Your Glass. Maximize Your Capability.
Your LPVO (Low Power Variable Optic) is capable of exceptional speed and precision — but only if you know how to set it up and run it correctly.
Unlike a red dot, an LPVO demands an understanding of mount height, eye relief, zeroing, ballistics, reticles, and magnification management. Without that understanding, much of your optic’s capability goes unused.
Most shooters never learn to use even half of what their LPVO can do.
This course changes that.
Is This Course for You?
This course is designed for shooters who:
⊙ Have an LPVO mounted but aren’t confident it’s set up correctly
⊙ Aren’t sure if their optic height or mount choice is optimal
⊙ Want to understand reticles, holds, and subtensions — not guess at them
⊙ Want to run their LPVO effectively at 1×, without fighting the optic
⊙ Want to connect ballistic data to real-world shooting results
⊙ Prefer professional instruction over internet advice
This course assumes you can safely load, unload, and fire your rifle without supervision.
If you are still learning basic rifle handling, this is not the correct starting point.
What This Course Covers
This is a technical rifle course, focused on understanding and applying your optic correctly — not just shooting more rounds.
Optic Setup & Fundamentals
⊙ Proper LPVO mounting — height, placement, torque, and eye relief
⊙ Riser considerations — when they help and when they don’t
⊙ Diagnosing common mounting and setup mistakes
⊙ Confirming mechanical zero and establishing a reliable shooting zero
Reticles, Ballistics & Data
⊙ External vs. internal ballistics — what actually matters for LPVO use
⊙ Reticle subtensions — using holds for elevation and wind
⊙ Ranging concepts using your reticle
⊙ When to dial vs. when to hold — and why
⊙ Understanding how magnification affects reticle use
Running the LPVO Effectively
⊙ Running an LPVO at 1× like a red dot — with clarity and control
⊙ Efficient magnification changes during a shooting string
⊙ Speed-to-precision transitions at varying distances
⊙ Visual processing and target acquisition through glass
⊙ Live-fire drills that reinforce correct optic use
After This Course, You Will Be Able To
By the end of the day, you will confidently:
⊙ Zero your rifle and confirm DOPE using your LPVO
⊙ Use your reticle for accurate holds without hesitation
⊙ Transition smoothly between 1× and magnified shots
⊙ Make informed decisions about dialing vs. holding
⊙ Understand how ballistics affect point of impact at distance
⊙ Diagnose and correct common optic setup problems
⊙ Run your LPVO as a true multi-purpose optic — not “just a scope”
This course is not about buying new equipment.
It’s about mastering what you already own.
